Hello, HAES families this is Dr. Hill with your weekly updates for the third week of January.
As a reminder, attendance is important. Please ensure your child is at school each day. If your child is sick, be sure to send a note to their teacher. Students are considered tardy after 8:05 AM and must be signed in by a guardian if they arrive late. Early checkouts end at 2:00 PM, and any changes to transportation must also be made by 2:00 PM. All transportation changes must be in writing—please do not use Remind to message teachers or bus drivers to request these changes.
Additionally, we are going to kindly ask that parents refrain from calling or coming in during morning drop off and pickup unless it is an emergency. It is extremely important that we get kids safely into school and off of campus in a timely fashion. We are devoting our time to them to ensure their safety.
Kona Ice will be on campus on Monday, January 13! Make sure to send some extra money with your child if they wish to enjoy a treat.
There will be no school for students on Monday, January 20, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Additionally, January 21 and 22 are required teacher workdays, so there will be no school for students.
Thank you for your continued support in making HAES an amazing school! Have a great evening, and we’ll see everyone bright and early tomorrow.
