This past week, Junior BETA Club sponsor, Mrs. Nobles and the 2024 Beta Club members participated in a Service Project for the recent hurricane victims. Although not all students are pictured, everyone was excited to have the opportunity to put their hearts into this project. Thank you also to the Nakina Mustang Club for your generous donation.

We are proud of our Mustangs for showing patriotism and raising the flag each morning.

Our Mustangs are "Growing Greatness" as they learn about planting micro greens! Stop by and see our booth at the Columbus County Fair!

Remember KONA ICE will be at HAES Tuesday, October, 15th . Please send money with your child if they would like to buy a treat.

Power up! HAES's 3rd Book Blast Treasure Chest winner is Jeremiah Williams! Congratulations! Did you know that Book Blast contributions help ensure all our students receive books? After your student earns all 10 books from the book list, additional contributions help provide more books for all our students, classrooms, and the library. Your involvement makes a world of difference! #booksarefun #literacy #bookblastadventures #readingrules

Thank you to everyone who voted for the WTS fair booth! It won 3rd place! Thank you to Mrs Burroughs and everyone who helped put it together!

We want to remind you that Monday, October 14, is Parent-Teacher Conference Day. This is a great chance for you to meet with your child’s teacher and talk about how your child is doing in school.
There will be no school for students on this day, so we can focus on these important meetings.
Conferences will be held from 11:30 AM to 7:00 PM, so you can pick a time that works best for you. You can choose to meet in person or online, whichever is easier for you.
During the conference, you will learn about your child’s strengths, areas where they can improve, and how we can work together to help them. To set up your conference, please reach out to your child’s teacher.
Thank you for supporting your child’s learning!

At TCS, 8th grade students worked in groups to create a suspenseful short narrative based on the station cards. As students rotated through the stations, they pulled random cards to construct descriptive details about the conflict, setting, characters, challenges and types of suspense. Students then took all of the details to construct a collaborative narrative full of suspense!

For “C” week in the pre k classes at WTS they asked for “coats” to be donated to help families in the Mountains of North Carolina. Thank you to all who donated. We really appreciate your help.
