Students in Ms. Williamson’s 8th grade class enjoyed a book tasting of various genres to kickoff the year. Students were tasked to get a taste of genres they typically don’t read. After recording their feedback on their menus, students were encouraged to share their interests with group members and discuss!📚

All staff members attended convocation today at East Columbus Jr.-Sr. High School. The day focused on initiating our new Learning Framework, developed by the Curriculum and Instruction Department. Superintendent Beck also shared his vision for the upcoming year. Additionally, we recognized our Principals and Teachers of the Year. Congratulations to Kristie Leinthall, Principal of the Year from Acme Delco Elementary, and Dr. Anthony Martin, Teacher of the Year from East Columbus Jr.-Sr. High. We extend our gratitude to the faculty and staff of East Columbus Jr.-Sr. High for their outstanding work in hosting the event. PowerSchool updates for TCS.
West Columbus High Seniors continue the tradition of painting their parking spaces. Each senior has the opportunity to paint their parking space with a special message or meaning.
Tomorrow, August 12, 2024, CCCA will have a 2-hour delay for students only. If students cannot be picked up due to flooding, they should participate virtually. All staff members should report to work at their regular times.
CCCA will be in remote instruction for Friday, August 9th.
CCCA will be in remote instruction on Wednesday, 8/7, and Thursday, 8/8. Teachers will post assignments and will be available via email or Schoology.

Columbus County Schools will be closing today at 1pm for staff. CCCA will release today at 12PM for students. CCS will be virtual for staff and students on Wednesday, 8/7 and Thursday, 8/8. CCCA will be in remote instruction and staff will telework.
Due to the approaching storm, CCCA will dismiss students at 12 PM on Tuesday, August 6th.
